dd had her party yesterday. she is 13 and she and all her freinds are severely disabled.
ds(16) and his 2 mates came. they were so good. they did the music. behaved really well. and helped with games. I even got them pushing wheelchairs in one game
they were a delight. even helped clear up
then they came back and played on ds's xbox 360 in his room. no problems. went home when asked.
I love this age

ah lovely - when they are good they are very very good. and it's worth the grunting, laundry, dirty plates under the bed, slammed doors, and 'whatever's

Teenage boys are just yummy! My eldest lad is now 26 and we used to have a houseful of his friends when he was in his teens. The noise, laughter, eating, dancing, rude jokes etc etc that went on in our house was really wonderful.

My DS4 is now 10 and I am looking forward to him bringing home all his friends as well.

I have a friend whos DD has spina bifida. When the kids were all in their early teens they used to take friends DD to play tennis! One of my boys used to tip her backwards in her chair and run with her and the other boy would serve the ball with no respect whatsoever for her disability
She would scream and say 'you shouldn't do that I am in a wheelchair!!' They would just roar laughing and serve even harder. She still talks about it and her eyes shine when she does.

Well done to your DS and his friends - there are plenty of great teenagers out there.

What complete stars they are. Your dd's party sounds fab.

DS is 16 and drives me nuts with his laid back horizontal attitude. But he still needs cuddles from his mum when upset. And he knows loads about cars and comes with me to test drive crazy sports cars for fun.
