Periods

My daughter is 14. We are going on holiday next month and it looks like she will have her period over this time which would impact her ability to enjoy aspects of the holiday such as swimming (she uses sanitary pads)

I'm wondering about seeing if she can go on the pill as a short term solution but not sure how acceptable this is or if there is anything else we can do?

Any advice/experience welcome!

There are period delaying pills apparently - not sure if this is what you mean? I don't know much about them but they exist! Sure someone will be along to help.

There is period swimwear nowadays. It's really good and saved our holiday last year!

I've heard the period delaying pills are no longer prescribed to children but I have no idea if this is true or not.

You can get something to delay her period. My daughter got hers from the GP but I’ve noticed it’s available online now from Superdrug and online pharmacies

The period delaying pill is Norethisterone, not sure about age limits for prescribing. Has worked well when I've used it.
