Would my daughter be refused entry at a Taylor swift concert she is 15 and her concert is on Friday but she’s turning 16 next week and going with her friends who are all 16

Ticketmaster T&Cs on purchasing for the tour do state all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18 and they reserve the right remove / deny entry. Question is do you think she/ her friends will be ID checked?

Littletreefrog · 10/06/2024 20:05

Best thing to do is find a group containing over 18s outside the venue and ask if they can walk in together.

SummaLuvin · 10/06/2024 20:11

With Liverpools history they might be quite careful in terms of compliance to crowd rules (which exist for safety). Your best bet is to see how night 1 goes, but even if you hear they aren't checking she could end up with the only strict door person checking her ticket.

I agree you need her to find an adult to walk in with their group. Any grown Swifties should be happy to help out the baby Swifties!

thing is, I wouldn't. I would feel like I was making myself responsible in some way for this girl and would feel utterly dreadful in the (unlikely) event something went wrong. I wouldn't be comfortable with it.

CSPS2019 · 10/06/2024 20:43

I went to Edinburgh and they weren’t checking IDs of anyone going in and so she will probably be fine!

SummaLuvin · 10/06/2024 20:52

the staff on the door are employed/contracted by the stadium, not Taylor Swifts touring team. You can't necessarily assume that just because they weren't checking in Edinburgh that they also won't in Liverpool.

ethelredonagoodday · 11/06/2024 12:52

We are going to Wembley and apparently they are super strict there, so I'd assume, as other have said that it depends on the venues own policies?

tabulahrasa · 11/06/2024 13:06

The security at Edinburgh was the laxest of anything I’ve been to in years, no ID checks, no real bag checks and nothing to stop you going in the wrong sections once you were in either.

So if it’s like that….

Yes the security guard actually said to me he doesn't care if people sneak in drunk/food and he was only looking because there's cameras

Doubt it will be an issues. I went to Liverpool on Thursday and there were groups of young girls going in with no adult. Security was just a quick bag check, didn’t see anyone having to prove their age.
