last night i came home from work around 5 pm. I knew my daughter was home with a friend but when i saw large shoes and a coat which was clearly a boys i was a bit suspicious, i went quite and started to slowly walk up the stairs ( i know its not the right thing to do but in the heat of the moment had to ) i knocked and opened the door to see my daughter semi-topples with a boy shirtless he walked straight out putting his top on as he did so. my daughter got up and slammed the door on me. we haven't spoken since anyone got any ideas on how to bring it up or do i just let it go. its sitting on my mind and i cant put it behind me

How old is she?

How old is she?

To be fair, you went for the nuclear option. You could've made some noise, or knocked and waited , and then have a chat with her once the boys was gone and embarrassing them both.

I'd start with an apology.

Eek how embarrassing! Depends on age really. My DD is 13 and yeah he would have been straight out of there. If she's 16+ then all you can do is have a chat about consent and contraception

A chat about contraception and not being pressurised into anything but also if under 16 it’s certainly not unreasonable to point out that they could end up in trouble

You can't say nothing, you blew that right out of the water by walking into her room. How you proceed depends on her age
