Lying

Ds is 17. He's lying so much. He was a passenger on a motorbike yesterday. A 15 year old is driving it. I challenged him and he got defensive. He's been seen again today. Two local people I know have seen it and he has lied to me again.
I've reported it to Crime stoppers because I know the lads address.
Yesterday I showed DS the law about motorbike test and insurance but he just says stop it and won't listen

Show him some aftermath crash sites... My df worked in one of the biggest bike shops in Newcastle many years go. Many families rang him to go collect the bike after their ds no longer needed it..... Having the wrong attitude to owning a bike or riding one leads to disaster...

of course he's lying... he's knows exactly what the law is regarding motorbikes and insurance and stuff, he's 17!

but its fun! its daring! it shows his mates what a rebel he is, it shows the girls what a bad lad he is.

he won't stop.. the 15 year old certainly won't stop, you would even have to question where a 15 year old got a motorbike from. I'm gonna guess either stolen or irresponsible parents.

I've sat on a cold road, given CPR to a motorcyclist who came off with no helmet, i watched the light go out of his eyes and i witnesses the pain the death caused his family.

i wouldn't pussy foot around your almost adult child.. i'd tell him how it is; if he gets caught you wont bail him out with the police, if he gets injured you won't wait on him hand and foot... and if he dies.. tell him serves him righrt!

yes yes i know MN will come for me... sometimes the only love to give is tough love
