My 17 dd just told me shes pregnant.
Her bf (same age) is putting huge pressure on her for abortion. But she is really unsure.

Ive told her she needs to think about what she wants as it is her decision. We love & support her no matter what.
Things are going to be really really hard & life changing but she wont be alone.
Im so scared for her, ive only just had a baby myself, so she knows what life with a baby is like, she can see we are struggling for space money , childcare etc
She knows her dad not around & i have to go back to work so will help where i can but not all the time
I took her last year to fpc & she got the implant, she haf this removed but i made sure she had the pill, but she admitted shes not been taking it properly.

I dont know what to do other thsn give her a hug & reassure her everything will be ok no matter what she decides

Oh @allthingsred . What a shock for you. You sound like a lovely mum and that you're doing all the right things. Tough tough decision for your DD. Sending un mumsnetty hugs your way.

What were her plans before she got pregnant? Will she be able to live with you or does she need to move out? You can’t make any decisions for her but you need to have a long serious talk about finances and future career prospects.

I would never chuck her out. But realistically there is no room in our house now. So she would have to move out eventually.
She was planning on finishing her a levels ( which i cant see why she couldnt do ) and then getting a full time job in social care.
(Which will have to be put on hold until she settles into being a new mum & sorts childcare)
I wish i could make it easier on her by saying i would help with childcare but im still on maternity leave & with her as well as her siblings i cant afford to do that either.

Is it weird to feel sad.. such a huge adult decision when shes so young I feel like no matter what she chooses, its the end of her childhood.

I don't think it's weird to feel sad at all. Either way it's going to be hard. From personal experience I had a termination at 19 and it was absolutely the right thing for me. Never regretted it. My sister had a baby at 17. Again, right thing for her.
