Trampoline for DS15

DS15 has decided he wants to use some Christmas + bday money he's got saved up for a trampoline.

Our garden is quite small so it would take up quite a lot of space, but should be able to fit.

Does anyone know what size he would be best to get- I notice a lot of manuals say no flips etc. and he'd want to try to do somersaults and the like. Also all the manuals say 1 person only and he would want to be able to do it with friends.

Are the manuals over reacting for fear of getting sued or would he need a really big/expensive one?

Thanks

Would he use it much if he’s 15? I think maybe you’d want a 12ft one if he wants to do flips. With a net for safety.

I got one when I was 15 (from abroad because it was way before they were super popular here) and I was never off it. Then my younger brother got into it. We suddenly had more friends than we've ever had!

Maybe he'd be better off doing some trampolining classes at a leisure centre? It doesn't sound like a small garden trampoline will suit him....

My 14 year old has a 15ft x 11ft oval one - got it about a year ago and uses it loads, including for flips. Also hangs out with friends on it but not all doing big bouncing at the same time as that would be pretty dangerous. It does take up a massive amount t of space in the garden though.

My DD 11 stopped using ours about 1/2 years ago. It got wrecked with a handful
Of kids being on it and they were small kids. I would let more than one child of that age on it's not safe.

This is the one DS is looking at getting, from what people are saying it should be big enough for his needs, and not breaking his bank!

It would fit in our garden but would take up a lot of space. Would be unreasonable to say no. DH says it's better than computer Xbox or phone and it's his money but it would take up 1/4 of our garden- and we have a dog (DS says he could run under/round it)

Not sure what to do.

My dd 16 has a trampoline in our small garden
it does take up a lot of space and is a bit annoying
but ….
she’s on it everyday
puts music on in her ears and bounces any stress away
good exercise too I
