Advice needed for wide trainers please

Hi, my 15 year old son has always had his feet measured by Clarks for both school shoes and trainers. Normal trainers are always tight and it's been stressful going round trying these on only to find out they're too tight.

Does anyone know a make, store or had experience of this to advise please?

It's got to the point where I'd rather order online and send back if to tight just to avoid going to so many shops.

Thanks in advance.

My son has wide feet. Addidas are a no no but Nike are better. I think new balance are wider and they do actual an actual wide fit, you can Google them a few online shops sell them. And then there are Skechers, which are wide fitting and I bought them through his childhood but they are an absolute no now!

Same here. Mine is a H in clarks kid shoes but now we go straight for adult, extra wide New Balance, the first ones that have really fit.

Brooks are my absolute go to for wide fittings

Vans Exo Ultrarange. I have wide feet and these are the best trainers I've ever had

I have very wide feet (HH) and out of the big mainstream brands, have found Puma the most comfortable. But different people's feet are wide in different ways, if you see what I mean (toe-line shape, instep depth, heel width etc.) so you're probably best going with the miserable trying-on trainer shop outings, unfortunately.

Nike tend to be narrow. I don't find Adidas comfortable, and neither did my friend who has narow feet.

New Balance do two widths. Brands like Brooks, Saucony, Asics and Mizuno are probably worth a try.

Puma seem OK, but have only ever worn one pair.
I suspect that 'athleisure' outlets don't sell the same quality as proper sports shops.
I'd go to a running shop and ask there.

I've got wide feet and I've found Vans work best for me!

My sons have v wide feet as do I. Similar angst when could no longer get the Clarks wide fit trainers!
My son with the H++ width has been wearing Nike Revolution trainers for a while now. They seem to be cut generously. The other with just wide-ish feet has been wearing Karrimor trainers. Both from sports direct.

My son is H++ and has found Skechers extra wide fit very comfortable. Some of their arch fit come in extra wide. Have a look on pavers website, they are cheaper there (but still £££)

Posted too soon...I know they aren't cool but my son doesn't care and we just get the plain black ones.
