DD is 15 and has been friends with this girl for 2 years. The girl is lovely and they frequently have sleepover at hers or ours. I've met mum and stepdad. DD's friend is Polish and spends a lot of her holidays in Poland with her dad and family. She has asked if DD would like to go with her at Easter.

The friend regularly flies alone, being dropped off at the airport and collected at the other end. DD has been away with another friends family for a week, so I'm not worried about home sickness and she's pretty sensible. I'm sure she'd have an amazing times and I'd love her to visit Poland. My worries are that I haven't met the dad or family and it's so far away. As a teen, I did foreign exchange trips which I loved and I suppose it's quite similar.

I'd love your opinions on this.
TIA

I’d want to know more about the family set up to be honest
I am a worrier though
I know I’m ridiculous so please don’t be mean, but I would literally have an exit strategy planned…the nearest airport, money for a taxi and how to book a flight home
my children and their friends have done reciprocal holidays in uk but no more than about 5 hours away from home and know the families well
