....even when they have NO experience.
My 13yo telling me when I could have turned right in the car.
Don't tell me how to drive darling.
Even when I explained that yes there was time, but since there was nothing behind the car on the road I was pulling onto, it felt it better to wait.
"Yes but......"
"Don't tell me how to drive"
"But I'll be a better driver when I'm older"

5 mins later he's asking me when his bus arrives for school tomorrow.

So cocky and yet still so dependent.

This is light hearted by the way before anyone takes it/me too seriously.

Mark Twain felt your pain too:

When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.

@Dreikanter that really made me laugh, and feel a lot better about the wee smug git!

He's a good lad, but honestly.......!
