what so your sixth year/formers do when it comes to wanting to take days off? Some classes haven’t quite sorted themselves out yet and won’t til after summer ds is already nagging for time off. He’s 16 so can basically do what he wants but I’m trying to encourage him to stay in with the ‘responsibility’ tag lol

Where are you? Y12s here in England are just ending exams and that's the end of school

Depends on sixth form surely.
I but I have half on study leave but some are coming in to catch up on stuff they missed through Covid. It all ends Friday at my College.

We’re in scotland. He’s staying for the final year. Finished his National exams for this year (or GCSEs as you may know them in England. Just some work skills classes have not been agreed or set up yet and he doesn’t think he should be in yet if that’s the case. I’m trying to just encourage work ethic, turning up, etc

It seems to me that if they are getting on and teaching academic content for next year, then he needs to be in. If it is 'busy work' filling in time, I would be less bothered.
