How bad does it have to be

For a 13 year old to be expelled ?
Dsd playing up at school. Has been suspended several times due to class disruption and spends most the time in isolation. Now we hear she's about to be expelled. My question is do we know what it actually takes to be expelled usually ? Surely it has to be really bad ? I'm not saying the behavior dsd is displaying isn't bad but I've heard stories of kids doing much worse and staying in school. Any experience or teacher knowledge would be appreciated

Depends if you have any faith in the school.. Ds was always in trouble when actually he has Asd..... Moved school= new ds...

Yes, it does have to be really bad, but that doesn't mean a load of major incidents - it can be persistent disruption. It does however have to be absolutely the last resort, and the school should in particular take into account whether there is any possibility of SEN that are not being properly met.
