ADVICE PLEASE TO HELP GET RID OF DAUGHTERS DARK HAIRS ABOVE HER LIPS

Hi everyone. I'm after some advice please. My nearly 16 year old daughter has some dark hairs above each side of her top lip,a light moustache you might say.
I had noticed before she had a few smaller hairs there ages ago but wasn't to worried. She came home from school today and i noticed it looked more noticeable and she said she had plucked some which I think has made it a bit more noticeable.
I was wondering if any of you had had this problem with your daughters and what was the best way to tackle it as I'm worried of making it worse and the hair coming back thicker and faster.
I know there are creams,bleach,laser,waxing etc but wondered what was the best and lasted the longest. Many thanks in advance.

If you use the cream be really cautious with the timings. I remember burning my face many a time with that when I was younger.

I made the mistake of shaving with a razor at that age and it definitely made the hair growth worse. I bleached as a teenager but I do think In certaini light it's still quite obvious so now use wax strips - definitely reduces hair growth and thickness and I don't particularly notice it in between waxes as it's fine hair and nor to much of it . My daughter has only ever waxed her legs and the hair has remained very fine so it's not that noticeable between waxes so I definitely think waxing is good for unwanted hair

Yes I think if the cream isn't any good then waxing may be the next method to try. Also maybe the Philips Lumea for the something in the longer term. Want to do more research/read reviews. Got an electrician coming this morning so im rushing about but will look after. Thanks ladies 😊.

Don't sit in the sun after using the cream and Don't do it just before you want to go out etc

I use that cream. I take it off slightly earlier than the bottle says but it works well. I'm very dark (sicilian heritage) so I've always been conscious of a dark moustache when I was a teen.

I have this and it keeps my upper lip at bay!

@mummymayhem18

Thanks for everyone's replies. Only just remembered I had put a post up and to check if anyone had replied 😂. To answer someone yes my daughter wants and knows I'm looking into getting it sorted. I definitely didn't want to get her to shave it there as don't want to risk stubble. I will Google the Lumea and suggestions like that but for now have ordered this cream from Amazon. Will do a patch test first but hoping it doesn't cause a reaction so she ends up with a scabby moustache instead 🤞. I have PCOS so know about that but hoping at nearly 16 it's not down to that 🤞🤞.
DD was diagnosed with PCOS at 16. If you have it I would strongly suggest a GP visit for your DD just to rule it out (or not). There is far too little awareness on both PCOS and endometriosis despite such a huge number % of people affected. Early diagnosis is hugely beneficial.

Please don't shave. My teen DD uses a facial hair epilator for this. It's painless and easy. As the hair grows back the skin feels a teeny bit rough but nothing is visible. Then it can be epilated again. Simplest solution for teens.

I have tried waxing and it changed my skin pigmentation/colour so I'd be very cautious about that.

Laser 100%. I have PCOS and was growing a moustache and beard eek. I waxed and was starting to damage my skin.

Laser has worked so well for me. I needed 8 treatments, and now a top up session about every 6 months.

@ElephantLover would you mind telling me which one she uses please? Thanks
