ADD, OCD, Depression in Teenage Daughter

Hi,
I was just wondering if there is any one out there with experience in ADD in girls? Which presents very differently than ADHD in boys.

Iv got two girls, both diagnosed. It took until they finished school having struggled to find out, the school was absolutely hopeless and impotent in recognising the signs. They just kept complaining about how forgetful one of them was and punishing them.
Consequently, one of my daughters Developed depression, OCD and was suicidal. Finding exam pressure too much along with lockdown. She's on meds now and sees a therapist every two weeks. CALMS waiting list is over a year long.

Does anyone have any advice out there. Or who had been through this?
As a parent, I have found this really difficult.

Thanks

Sorry I don’t have any advice but do know how difficult it is. Similar story with my DD and we’re waiting to get an assessment.

Sorry no advise here but have a 17 year in the same situation, it has been really going on since she started secondary school aged 12. GP was absolutely useless and told her to go for a walk if she felt down, This was after my DD completely opened up about her feelings and said at times she doesn't feel like living. €65 a visit here in ireland to a GP to be told this. The doctor also said she would not give meds as she was too young and told me we would be waiting years for an assessment by the HSE. We eventually got a really good physcologoist privately who is having weekly sessions with DD and has also put her on a wait list for a pschyotherapist ( also had to go privately for this) she will assess her for autism ADD OCD etc in a few weeks time but it can be a bit of a process.
DD has also dropped out of school right befoe her leaving Cert as she cannot cope in school :( she is so so sad about this but at the moment it is just not possible.
I can really empathise and know what you are going through, it is so hard as a parent when your child is going through this and it feels like nobody can help.
Can I ask what Meds she is on and did your GP prescribe? I feel at my wits end too and it is making me really depressed myself.

My 15 year old is also suffering. It seems to be getting worse and worse and she is on the waiting list for CAMHS.
She also sees someone privately but I'm not sure it's actually helping. GP won't prescribe anything.
She is still engaging with school about 60% of the time but I'm so worried she is just going to end up dropping out completely.
