@twoblueskies Hi op I let my DS stay out til 9 at this age but he was with a group who all live near us , if he'd been walking quite a distance on his own then I wouldn't have let him

6.30 is really early for a 14yr old, OP.

My dd 14 isn’t allowed out, just walking and hanging around, after dark, but neither was my ds at that age. If they have somewhere to go and are doing something planned then that’s different.

Nope. No hanging around streets in the dark for my 14 yo. Friends' houses, cinema etc. fine but not just hanging around.

Dd nearly 14 has to be in by 8.30 in the winter. She doesn’t go out and just hang around all the time though at this time of year. In the summer she has to be in at 8.30 on a school night and 10 at the weekend.

What is she doing in the dark ? I wouldn’t be happy.I was ok if they wanted to go to a friend’s house or cinema but not just roaming around.
