Saturday jobs for very shy teens

Has anybody got a very shy teen that's managed to find a doable saturday job?

DS will not work in a cafe/restaurant or shop - basically customer facing roles. I do get that it would possibly/probably be a good thing for him to do that and bring him out of his shell, but I would have to drag him through the door to his interview, kicking and screaming which is not a good look infront of your prospective manager.

We don't fund him for fun stuff and times, in order to motivate him to get a weekend job. He would actually like to earn something now, but can't find anything apart from shop/hospitality.

What are your 16/17 year olds doing if they're not customer facing?

Re delivering papers/leaflets: ask at local newsagent or post on your local Facebook page.

My dd16 is like this, I filled out an application for an xmas elf job.Persuaded her to go for the interview and that was such a fantastic step for her. Few days later she got the job has to interact with adults and kids and now doesn't want it to end.but sadly it ends next week I'm hoping it gives her confidence now to look for summer work

Garden centres often have teens to do the background work with the plants. Usually different work to the customer-facing ones. Might be repotting, working in greenhouse, watering, shifting bags of compost etc.

Also know a couple of teens who've had jobs at Royal Mail sorting office.

Also local cattery....though with lockdown, owners and pets won't be going anywhere!

Hello can I ask ..16 dd would like a part time job, but she is dyslexic and has to work really hard. To get anywhere at school. I’m wondering if a job is going to take her studying time or if I’m being over protective? She is worried about schoolwork, so imo it seems sensible to focus on that.
