If your dd was developing a bit later than her peers

DD is 12 and nowhere near puberty apart from hair growth in the usual areas. It seems all the year 6 and 7 girls we know are much more developed than dd, both physically and also maturity wise. She's quite young in her tastes, still paying with Playmobil and lego, not into social media and makeup like so many of her peers.

I suppose I'm feeling a little anxious and don't want her to feel like she doesn't fit in or have things in common with the other girls. She's a little bit of an introvert anyway and looks almost couple of years younger than most of her friends! Most of her primary school friends are at the same school as dd but they seem to have moved on with their friendships and she hasn't made many new connections.

If your dd developed later than her peers, at what age did she start puberty, growth spurts etc? Did it happen all of a sudden or over several months? Thanks

Mine didn't go through it until nearly 15. She sounds very similar to your DD. She's 17 now and, although tiny, I think she looks and acts her age
