Home security recommendations

My teenage daughter (16) has recently gone off the rails, drinking, drugs, lying, sneaking out etc.
I’m working on these issues as much as possible but in the mean time I would like to get some security cameras for the main house areas (living room, dining room and kitchen) but mainly exterior so I can see when she is coming and going (when I think she is in bed etc at 3am).
Any recommendations for a simple wireless system that doesn’t cost the earth to buy and then monitor please?

If you put overt security in, you will lose any semblance of trust left in your relationship and she will learn to evade them. If you use covert security, it’s for her safety only, and you have to be cold enough not to ever slip up and reveal their presence unless she is in a seriously dangerous situation.

If you are doing this for safety reasons and can guarantee your ability to never slip, I’d suggest a tracker on her phone, sewn into her bag, and silent window and door alarms rather than cameras. This gives you all the data you need and substantively helpful information in event she goes missing.

It will be explained and obvious that there are cameras. But also for general security and not in intimate areas of house, ie bathroom, bedrooms.
I don’t want to go down the tracker route as feel that’s too far.
Just want to know we’re safe and for her to know she can’t always get one over on me for the sake of it

Lock her bedroom window and take the key to bed

We had a product aptly called a 'Canary, you can buy them on Amazon (don't have the best reviews though). It looks like a wireless speaker and when it detects movement (different modes on an app on your phone) it messages you. Invaluable keeping an eye on my dad when he became housebound...

I have blink cameras from Amazon. Very easy to set up and use.

Do not do this. If there was a fire it could be horrific.

I would never do this. As someone else pointed out it’s a major risk in case of fire. But also it’s not about me setting boundaries and her agreeing and giving her the opportunity to act within those. But at times when I think she has not stuck to those being able to check where and when she went out etc

Thank you I’ll look into these
