Going through similar issues with almost 15 yr old here. Now the weather has got better there are endless parties on the beach with alcohol. Most children are picked up at midnight or get a taxi home. Some of these kids are as young as 13. All her friends seem to be allowed out - there is a big party for someones birthday on wednesday and my DD has just asked if I will buy her a bottle of Malibu to take!!! She misses out on alot as I refuse to let her out past dark or with alcohol but she is pleading to go out on Wednesday, She has been ousted from her freindship group because I will not let her out if too late or involving alcohol. She is only 15 but the days of gong to town or the park of an afternoon seem to be over - it seems to be all about getting drunk!!It seems to be the consensus on here that no one lets their kids out but in RL it seems to be the opposite if you know what I mean!! We are also having the electric scooter debate daily - I say no - all her friends have them.

I was drinking cider in a park age 14- 25 years ago.
They are teens..they will experiment...tricky thing is, how to mitigate this...no easy answer.

I like the French way...glass of wine with a meal rather than bottle of vodka at a party.

Tbh tho...they will do both!
