Friendship issues

Anyone advice or books to read for DD who is having friendship issues. She has become embroiled in a particularly toxic friendship group who seem to thrive on drama and arguments. The situation is really stressing her out but she can't walk away and keeps getting sucked into arguments and dramas. It's now starting to affect her school work and well-being. TIA

“Queen Bees, Drama Queens & Cliquey Teens” and “Queen Bees & Wannabees” both deal well with this topic and give great insight into the group dynamics. Both available from Amazon.

Teen friendships can be a minefield 🙈 Hope things settle down for your DD soon 🍫🌼🧁🌺

My DD has been in a toxic friendship group, since yr 7 and she is now yr 10. Every night there is some drama instigated by "The Queen bee". She did walk away for 6 months and found a new group of friends then lockdown happened and she was reeled back in. I worry for her as this is her GCSE year but one particular girl has a hold over her and she doesn't seem to be able to escape her clutches. My DD has the Queen bee book mentioned above and it is very informative but she hasnt actually read it!!!

@Staywithmemyblood Thank you for this I will search out these books

@storminateacup74 Sorry to hear about your DD, it is so difficult you can give them the advice but they do not always listen. DD has been in a similar situation, tries to break away from these friends but gets sucked back in and I know a few weeks later the dramas will start again. I am trying to be patient and supportive but I agree it is really hard when you see them making the same mistakes all over again.
