How can DD17 make friends during lockdown?

My daughter started college in the September before lockdown. She had a horrible time, hated it, made no friends, suffered from terrible anxiety, had to have counselling etc etc. Then lockdown happened and home learning began and she hasn't had the opportunity to make any new friends and is now terribly lonely.

She doesn't find people easy, she's very sensitive and easily hurt. She's dyslexic and I think has ADD. She has a few sort-of friends she's in touch with but they aren't satisfying her need for friendship and support. If I hear her on Zoom chats she overcompensates - giggles and feels like she has to entertain everyone and isn't her (lovely) self.

I am getting frustrated at not being able to help her as she over-analyses her inability to make friends. She talks to me endlessly about it... Until she can get out and actually meet people there's not much she can do, Or is there?? I've suggested Bumble which has a BFF bit as well as a dating bit. I've suggested on-line dating but she's not keen. She has interests -mainly art based- and I'm sure there must be arty chat forums.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas???

Have you looked at arts centres, universities, museums, libraries, your local council/education authority arts provisions etc? Our borough is still running online arts groups. My DC took part in arts/music courses/groups at places like the Barbican, UAL, the Roundhouse, Southbank Centre, Tate etc. Some of them still seem to be running a few groups/forums, mostly online eg the Roundhouse has a few online courses called "RoundYourHouse", no visual arts at the moment but there is a podcast course starting next week. It's worth checking as things are added all the time. Most of their provision is during the holidays so check back for Easter courses.
