Winnie the Pooh

Dd turns 18 soon, and has mentioned she would like some Winnie the Pooh themed stuff. Preferably classic, else Disney.

She's into makeup, but not smellies of any kind. Not crockery (her little sibling is getting her a mug).

I thought maybe lunch box or stationery, but they all seem a bit infantile - or am I missing the point and they would be ironic?

There must be some ' grown-up' WtheP stationery?

Clothes are another possibility, tricky to find - just tacky pyjamas. Dd likes to sleep in cotton and flannelette.

She particularly likes Eeyore.

Any suggestions?

What about some beautiful prints for her bedroom wall, or an early addition book. Do they do any Eeyore or Winnie charms in Pandora?

There is a beautiful leather bound anthology of all of the Winnie the pooh stories that have the most amazing illustration. I was bought one for my birthday and treasure it.

I'm a little bit older than your daughter Wink and love Winnie the Pooh. For my 18th I got Winnie the Pooh royal Dalton things which a still have many years later. They are lots of lovely Winnie the Pooh things around. What about some jewellery?

What about something like this? You supply a range of words relevant to your daughter.

Primark had some sweatshirts, don’t know if they’d still have them.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 28/11/2020 17:27

DH and DS got me two framed prints of pages from the original text - in each frame there's an illustration and an accompanying quote. They're beautiful.

Have just been googling to try to find an image of them but no success. Please please please don't get her anything with that nauseatingly twee "you are braver than you believe, etc" one from the film though. The original books are so beautiful compared to the Disney stuff.

Please OP consider all the suggestions apart from Primark as I assume you would like whatever you get your DD to last a while.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 28/11/2020 18:40

My DD, also about to be 18, loves Winnie the Pooh, and always has done (her first ever toy, a now moth eaten Pooh bear is still on her bed). She’s been saving her own money and has bought herself three first editions, looking for the others, but that’s a bit pricey! However, I’ve just bought her The Royal Mint Winnie the Pooh collection, special edition, 50p pieces, for her birthday.
