Puberty making hair change

My DD hit puberty at 13 ish (now 15) she's still growing, but that's about it now, except her hair within the last year has changed.
It used to be fine and straight and it's now thick and wavy/curly, I have fine, straight hair so have no idea how to work with her hair type. It's also really long now which makes it more difficult (but she loves it at that length) any suggestions for products/techniques for this hair type?

My daughter has very long, very curly thick hair. My advice would be do not brush it, very little shampoo. Use conditioner (avoid roots). My daughter plaits hers for bed to stop it tangling. Curlsmith products are good or other products without parabens. you could look at the curly girl methods which are good if a little time consuming for a teen.

Because I heard that some of the products cause hair loss

That was one product line (DevaCurl) that had a scandal about hair loss, just avoid that as you would do any other product line there are concerns about.

CGM can be fun but also time consuming, masses of resources out there and whole youtube channels dedicated to it.

My son went from fine straight blonde hair...to virtually afro at puberty!
He also had very long hair. Lots of conditioner and a proper afro comb (only when wet) helped keep the curls nice.
Sadly now at 23 he keeps it really short!

Same thing happened to my daughter - she uses Frizz Ease shampoo & Conditioner and also combs with an afro comb when wet - she hates her curly hair although I think she looks very pretty which is probably why she hates it - she does then straighten it every couple of weeks especially if going out
