My 13 year old DD has started to get a few spots on her forehead and nose.
Can anyone recommend something I can get over the counter to treat this.
Thanks

Can recommend Carbon Theory soap £6 from Boots. It’s been a game changer for DS.

I saw that Carbon Therapy soap advertised, through FB i think and now you've said it i will get some too!

@gabsdot45 My sons all use this Simple Micellar Gel Wash Having bought them all hundreds of things over the years, this is the one thing they all agree on keeping spots at bay whilst not drying out the skin so that it goes flakey.

My oldest son, now 18, had acne on his back and shoulders too. This is the criteria the doctors use for prescribing Tetracycline low dose antibiotics. They worked great on him, cleared it right up and after a year he didn't take them any more.

Acnecide is expensive but really good

For my pimply forehead, the only thing that helped was prescription salycylic acid and ultimately the pill, originally Dianette, but later Yasmin.

In terms of being kind to skin and avoiding dryness, definitely go as mild as possible. I always went really harsh with clearasil etc and it didn't do me any favours. Local beauty therapists may be able to sell you some good quality cleansers and moisturisers with no added nasties.
