take my 7 year old down the road in her wheelchair to an hour's drama class and sit in the foyer in case she needs to go to the loo during it

take my 7 year old in her wheelchair to Brownies and help her with craft/ going to loo/ general support for an hour and a half

dd is bright and quite mobile in a walking frame, and there wouldn't be any lifting involved

yes bozza you are right

thank you you are all so kind

I particularly liked the way my child's activities got cheaper as the thread progressed

maybe if I bump it a few more times this evening I will get it down to £1.20 and a bar of chocolate

oh dear if the need for dp has been assessed / identified then its prob only the crb check of the worker that should take the time, otherwise it really shouldn't take that long, esp if you are organised and sort out the bank account etc.
Where I am there are a few schemes that support kids with disabilities to access mainstream social things, and I think one is staffed by teen volunteers. Just a thought;good luck with dp if you decide to go for them.

I think its quite a bit of responsiblity for a teenager
When i was a teenager i used to help out at brownies as part of my DofE , it was the shock of my life ,those brownies run you ragged .
I think £10 for each activity is about fair , I dont think my teenage dd would do it for less . Although i did have a very lovely teenage neighbour who used to do that kind of thing for nothing because she loved kids and wanted a career in childcare. Hope you can be lucky and find one like her!

£5 /hr - more than enough for teenagers ( I have them) and don't forget teenagers don't get minimum wage anyway.
