With the lock down my d's eats no breakfast, ham sandwich for lunch(just the middle!!) And main meal hopefully veg, potatoes and meat but just picking at that food. He can eat crisps of course but he's 13 and I afraid he's not eating enough right food as he is quite thin..any advice here

I think it's pretty common for teens to move into a phase of not wanting breakfast.
With lockdown, he is presumably not using up half the energy he normally does - with walking to and from school, to friends, or the park or activities or shops....... with no PE.... no even walking round the school, changing classrooms, walking down to the dining hall etc...... no other activities that he normally does, so he's only using a fraction of the calories he usually would, I suspect (unless he is the lone tenn that goes for 50K bike rides each day ?)

As long as he's having a decent meal at night, and a sandwich at another time, I don't think I'd be too worried.

Doesn't sound like a lot to me... think the question is how thin is "quite thin". Can you check his weight/height?

If needs to eat a bit more, maybe encourage something like smoothies/milkshakes/ice creams? Or a banana or peanut butter on toast (if can have nuts). Some teens are better at grazing.

If he needs to eat a lot more, ask Gp or school nurses are taking phone calls in some areas.

Smoothes are a good idea, forgot about that!
