No advice for you @happymoment, but we are in the same situation 😕
DD is 15 and going into exam year, but has anxiety issues, was on a part time timetable prior to lockdown, and did very little work at home once the schools were closed. I tried everything to support and encourage her ( including backing off and leaving her to it), even talked to her guidance teacher and asked if she could call DD (she didn't).
Summer holidays here now so I've been trying not to think about it for a couple of weeks. DD says she's living her best life 🙄 I just can't understand how she can't make the link between her education and her future options. So frustrating. She is bright, so could do well at school if she would only put some bloody work in.
I'm struggling with it, but have to accept maybe she will leave school with no qualifications, work for a few years (to pay for her fake tan, false eyelashes etc) and once she decides what career path she wants, maybe return to education, if necessary, as a mature student. Different paths for different people 🤷♀️ Getting her anxiety down so she can deal with normal everyday stresses is the priority atm.
I'm dreading the school's going back, so I'm off to bury my head in the sand for another few weeks 🙈🙉🙊 Good luck OP 💐💐💐
