Man in van upset sister

My teenage sister is almost 17 and was very upset late afternoon today because as she'd been walking home from the park a man in a van had called some sexual stuff at her. I'm not sure of the exact thing said as we've only communicated over text. I will call her tonight or in the morning.

Anyway she was apparently crying after this incident. I don't really know what to tell her.

I'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't happened before, I am 30 now but remember getting this sort of thing from about 13 onwards and hating it, feeling embarrassed by it but sort of just getting used to it.

Any advice on the best way to handle this conversation

Rant. "Yes some men are absolute shits. Yes, it should be happening but many think the world is more misogynistic than it has been for years. No, you did nothing wrong, he's selfish scum" Basically make sure she knows it's not ok and that you are willing to stand and fight beside her. Maybe show her #everydaysexism . Anger is far better than upset so turn her fear into anger and give her tools to use it.

Also provide chocolate.
