first post on here Smile i've been lurking on mn for a while but i've never seen one that would answer my question, so i'll ask myself Wink
15yo dd has been eating more recently and i don't know if it's too much or not, she's a healthy weight, not like a beanpole but not fat.
today she's had
2 slices of vegan cheese on seedy toast
a milky coffee made with oat milk and stevia
about 5 or 6 large wedges
4 shop brought falafels, not very big
3 oreos
a handful of salt and vinegar crisps
4 more oreos as a snack
and will probably have
roasted veg and chickpea soup
more seedy toast
and homemade apple cake with custard for pudding
and maybe another snack before dinner, which would be something like a bowl of cereal with oat milk or the like.
thank you for any responses Grin

No its not a lot but some of her meals arent great nutrition or digestion wise.

yikesanotherbooboo · 22/05/2020 13:56

She is eating too much of she is unhealthily gaining weight. If she remains in healthy proportions then she is not eating too much.

Wagamamas · 22/05/2020 13:56

Not enough protein. I
A lot of fake vegan shit and junk.

saylor · 22/05/2020 14:05

I'd say that's quite a lot? How much is she exercising?

It depends on lifestyle I guess. At 15 I could (and sometimes was) eating McDonalds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I was still skinny.

shookbelves · 22/05/2020 14:08

Way too much in the way of fat, carbs, sugar and salt and nowhere near enough protein, or fruit & veg. She's not going to be getting enough vitamins and minerals out of that lot to stay healthy.

Is it just her who is the vegan, or the whole family?

NuffSaidSam · 22/05/2020 14:15

I don't think it's that much.

Cheese on toast for breakfast.
Falafel and wedges for lunch.
Soup and toast for dinner.
Late night bowl of cereal.

7 Oreos and a handful of crisps.

It's not the healthiest in the world, but I don't think it's terrible either. Fewer biscuits and more fruit and veg would be good, but she's a teenager!

me and dh are vegetarian, but only dd is vegan. she normally eats more protein in the form of quorn nuggets, birds eye vegan sausages, beans etc so maybe today hasn't been the best example Smile

she is pretty sedentary, but does walk the dog most days. i haven't noticed any weight gain but she doesn't wear anything that isn't baggy Grin
