Know anywhere trendy to buy bigger bras?

My 16 year old daughter has not been blessed with dainty boobs and of course anything I try to point her towards (M&S, Bravissimo etc) is seriously uncool. Tried Victoria's Secret but it's a bit limited. She's trying to buy little itsy bitsy bras and bikini tops which I wince at when she shows me her online basket. She then gets really upset when they inevitably don't fit. Does anyone know of anywhere else that's a bit more trendy she can look at/buy from? Thanks

ASOS have a range of Bras for the big busted.

I have no idea if these are trendy though Smile

Not trendy, but marvellous

Save up for a visit to Rigby and Peller when we come out of all this. They will offer water / coffee/Prosecco which always helps.

happinessischocolate · 19/04/2020 13:01

Primark are good for big boobs, and they copy Victoria secret designs so "trendy" too

mummmy2017 · 19/04/2020 13:03

Take her to Ann Summers.
My girls love them as so pretty under £15 each.

Divebar · 19/04/2020 13:18

Have a look at Boux Avenue... I bought a G cup bikini from them last year and was surprised at the quality ( after reading a recommendation in a magazine). It looks like they offer bras up to a G cup too.

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/04/2020 13:18

Dd likes Hollister.

peachypetite · 19/04/2020 13:21

Ann summers look pretty but appalling quality and definitely not for growing, big breasts. Debenhams do a range of dd+

1990shopefulftm · 19/04/2020 13:26

Boux avenue, the quality is great.

Divebar · 19/04/2020 13:27

I wouldn’t buy a load online now unless she was measured very recently. I’ve found Bravissimo to be the best in-store by a country mile. She may find she’s not the size she thinks she is. ( I find M&S to be pretty useless at measuring and stocking big cup sizes)

CakeItOrLeave · 19/04/2020 13:29

Bravissimo- I’m young and find them trendy but comfortable.

BuffaloCauliflower · 19/04/2020 13:30

What size is she and what method are you measuring with? Getting the proper right size is half the battle

BinkySodPlop · 19/04/2020 13:37

Try boob or bust to measure, then have a look at brastop for stockists of that size. They often have sales on, but it probably won't be very cheap.

As a general rule, most high street shops (including m&s) add 4 inches to the band, and take 4 cup sizes off. So, if she thinks she's a 38e, she may be closer to a 34gg.

Fudgewhizz · 19/04/2020 13:40

Figleaves have nice stuff

OxanaVorontsova · 19/04/2020 13:42

I have a 16yo like this, I took her to bravissimo to be measured, we bought a couple there that she approved of but since have used figleaves, they have a really good range of back and cup sizes.

WellIWasInTheNeighbourhoo · 19/04/2020 13:48

Second Figleaves, the reviews are very helpful too. Big interesting range, lots of brands & price points, & good much cheaper stuff in the outlet tab.

TonicAndGinPlease · 20/04/2020 10:01

Thank you so much. I've ordered a few for her to try from Figleaves, VS and Bravissimo. Fingers crossed!

Have you tried Freya? Some of their stuff is really pretty and they do bralettes as well, which I find quite supportive

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 20/04/2020 10:06

Victoria secret DDD is equivalent to a UK F or so we were told by the fitter. This did seem to tally though as she is a 32F in boux avenue Which is the only other brand that I’ve got her to wear.

Dd is 14 and wears a 32DDD in vs. She can only get that size in the pink range online.

She did try primark but says that they are uncomfortable and they don’t seem to fit as well as the vs and pink ones.

BaronessBomburst · 20/04/2020 10:07

I was going to suggest Freya too. They have bold prints and fun, colourful styles.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 20/04/2020 10:07

I also showed dd the curvy Kate range as I like them and they have some lovely designs. She wasn’t keen but your dd might like them and they often have sales on certain colours.

cherryblossomgin · 20/04/2020 10:07

Savage X Fenty have some nice trendy bras.

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 10:25

@cherryblossomgin they’re terrible for bigger sizes though, only go up to a DD

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/04/2020 10:26

@TonicAndGinPlease are you sure you’ve measured her properly?

TonicAndGinPlease · 20/04/2020 10:48

No she hasn't been measured recently but we're a bit desperate as of course whilst I've been carefully nagging for ages she kept putting it off. I've tried the softly softly and the 'Don't be so ridiculous' approach but she hates them and is burying her head in the sand. I've tried to tell her that she will look amazing if she gets the correct ones but of course it's just too uncool to hear it from mum! She's quite tall, about 5' 9" and is not fat but not thin either. Her siblings tease her when arguing, especially her younger brother so I try to come down on that. She won't let me look and check they're ok but I can see that her current ones don't fit through her clothes. For the time being I'm just trying to get her to find a couple that she finds comfortable and I've told her what to look out for fit wise. I've got four kids and she's my third girl. You'd think I'd know what to do by now! Her older sisters have tried to help a bit but she just doesn't want to know. Any tips to get her to come round would be brilliant! Thanks

Please get her to measure using this calculator, hopefully she’ll let you help her or one of her sisters. Most shops are not reliable for measuring, but buying bras that likely won’t be the right size will not help her feel comfortable
