Screen time limits on the Xbox

Has anyone else had problems with screen time limits set via the Microsoft website for the Xbox? We’ve set our 12yo son time limits but he’s going over them when we get his activity report.
There seems to be a work around that he might be using to get more time (although he swears blind he’s not doing thatHmm) so I just wondered if anyone had experienced a glitch with this that might get him off the hook?!

you won't win this. Either stand on guard duty to turn it on an off, or give it up.

I can highly recommend the Q Time device from Amazon. It flashes and beeps a 10 minute warning then the screen goes black. You control it via an App from your mobile phone

There is a way round it, yes. My teenager shared the secret with me the other week.

I’m interested to know what the workaround is! As I set the screen time up for my sister so my nephew wouldn’t be playing for hours on end. So far it works well - gives him a 5 min warning when times up (the total daily allocated time) won’t let him play before 9am, or after 7pm! Would rather know before he works it out Grin

You could also set time limits within your bt home hub, if you have one OR block the MAC address manually for the Xbox each night so he can’t get online! Halo

I'm sorry, it seems the Q Time is no longer being manufactured and no longer available to purchase

I can't remember now!

Try a routerblocker app on your phone, or threaten no time tomorrow if rules broken today ( just take the cord/ controllers)

Two seconds on google found this. You'd have to be doing that amount of steps intentionally!

dont set any limits, it will just make them more aggressive and stress them out. let them play for as long as they like and learn the hard way by losing sleep etc.
