Dd 13 fully developed but no periods?

She started getting boobs at 9. She has hair under her arms, and as l have to apply cream daily to her vulva, she has full pubic hair.

She has a horrible skin disease related to hormones, and I’m kind of hoping it will go away when her periods start. But she’s 5ft 9 and as developed as a woman. Her friends have all started

It will come with time,my dd14 still hasn't got hers although she was fully developed quite a while ago.(Shouldn't she be able to apply it herself at 13?)

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 03/07/2019 11:40

It has to be in targeted areas, which means it’s easier for another person to do. I’ll stop when she wants to do it herself, but at the moments she’s ok to let me do it.

Don't think you would see gp unless she still hadn't started by the age of 16

LoafofSellotape · 03/07/2019 11:57

I wouldn't worry about seeing a doctor until she's 16 but I would offer her a mirror and let her apply cream herself as she might feel uncomfortable and not be able to tell you, that way you are pre empting it, I really don't think it's appropriate for you to be doing it even if she is happy at the moment.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 03/07/2019 12:03

I came on to ask about periods not about how to apply the cream. The dermatologist she is under told ME to apply it until she no longer felt comfortable with it.

I’ll take what the derm said rather than some random person on the internet thank you very much.

Righto.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 03/07/2019 12:05

And she said they key to managing it was to check it every day. A 13 year old isn’t necessarily going to keep me informed

In didn’t start mine until almost exactly 2 months before I was 14 years old ... started in the August and was 14 in the October ... along time ago but remember it well lol ...

cavalier · 03/07/2019 12:08

Ps I was very well developed too and some of the less well developed girls started 2 years before me ...

Zoobunny · 03/07/2019 12:09

Don’t get why people are making an issue over the OP applying the cream for her DD- clearly her DD is comfortable with it.
She’s 13, not 23, is it really a massive issue that she allows her mother to put the cream on her?
anyway back to the periods, I wouldn’t worry OP, 13 is too young too be worrying about it. Hopefully they’ll start before she’s 16 though or she might have to go to the GP

CadburysTastesVileNow · 03/07/2019 12:28

If it's LS, you're doing exactly the right thing, OP

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 03/07/2019 12:30

No, it’s HS😢

DD1 is 15, only started periods about a year ago. DD2 is 14 next month, still no sign. Like PPs have said, it's not a worry till they're over 16 unless you ave other concerns.

PortiaCastis · 03/07/2019 12:39

My DD wouldn't let me near her at 13 but anyway praps take your dd to the dr or mention it when she has a review about her complaint OP

CadburysTastesVileNow · 03/07/2019 12:54

(((( ))))

woahtherehorsey · 03/07/2019 13:05

I was very developed and didn't start my periods till I was 15, my daughter was developed and started at 11, it is hard to predict!

HopeMumsnet · 03/07/2019 13:15

Hi there,
Thanks to those who reported but fwiw we have every reason to believe that this poster, who has been with us a long time now, is truthful and not a troll. We are grateful for your vigilance however.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 03/07/2019 16:02

I’ve been reported? That’s made me feel loads better........great moral support over a hideously stressful time.

I was physically developed by 13 and didn't have my first period till after my 16th birthday. My periods were always irregular and I would go for up to 6 months without a period.

stillworkingitout · 03/07/2019 16:09

I’m sure i was at least 14, maybe even 15 by the time mine started. I’m sure I was wearing bras long before.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 03/07/2019 17:07

Maybe you should ask her doctor rather than "randoms on the Internet" Hmm

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 17:08

I didn't start mine till nearly 15.

Sagradafamiliar · 03/07/2019 17:09

It could be any time from tomorrow til years away, as you well know.

YesQueen · 03/07/2019 17:11

Honestly the HS may not change. I started my periods at 9, had HS age 12 and I still have it age 35. BUT I am still stage 1

TapasForTwo · 03/07/2019 17:12

Given her skin complaint maybe it is a good thing that she hasn't started yet?
