Neighbours’s 15yo has boy in her bedroom

Both parents at work. She’s meant to be studying for her GCSE’s, a boy turned up at 9ish this morning and has been in the house ever since. Her bedroom window is open and they’re definitely not studying! Should I mind my own business or tell her mother? (I’m not deliberately listening but I’m gardening so outside)

MYOB!

ILoveMaxiBondi · 13/05/2019 12:55

Mind your own business unless you think she is being abused/coerced into sex?

Prequelle · 13/05/2019 12:57

You sound creepy

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/05/2019 12:57

Ewww, mind your own

BillywilliamV · 13/05/2019 12:58

Cool, genuinely interested in people’s opinions. My impulse is to just leave it I’ll admit, just not entirely convinced it’s the adult, responsible thing to do.

Lol, i'd have fun with it, pull a car up into her driveway so they think it's mum coming home. Or shout a warning 'hey, yer mams on her way!' watch how fast he scarpers out of there half dressed xD but then again im just jealous a 15 year old is getting more action than I am. Leave them be, lifes short!

PortiaCastis · 13/05/2019 12:59

MYOB and how do you know the age of the boy

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/05/2019 12:59

I'd have thought you a creepy weirdo if you'd told me this when Dd was 15.

BillywilliamV · 13/05/2019 13:01

I’m not creepy, this is my friends child I’m talking about, I’ve known her since she was three years old, if the consensus is to leave alone then I will leave alone but that doesn’t mean I am comfortable with it.

how do you know the age of the boy

No one has mentioned the age of the boy.

SoupDragon · 13/05/2019 13:06

Next time you see the girl, suggest she closes her window when studying.

But perhaps not really!

helpmum2003 · 13/05/2019 13:07

I think it's a very difficult situation if it's a child you've known that long...For starters I'd call round at the house on some pretext; just so child knows you know.... And take it from there. If it was my DD I'd definitely want to know.....

PortiaCastis · 13/05/2019 13:09

The age of the boy is in the thread title Soup

NunoGoncalves · 13/05/2019 13:09

If your neighbour is a friend, I'd mention it. Just like I'd mention it to any friend.

If your neighbour is not really a friend, I'd mind my own business, just as I'd mind my own business regarding the kids of any vague acquaintance/stranger.

NunoGoncalves · 13/05/2019 13:10

The age of the boy is in the thread title Soup

You might want to re-read the title.

AlexaShutUp · 13/05/2019 13:11

The age of the boy is in the thread title Soup

No, it isn't.

PortiaCastis · 13/05/2019 13:12

Ok apologies I was wrong

overnightangel · 13/05/2019 13:14

Shout encouragement thru the wall

specterlitt · 13/05/2019 13:25

If the neighbour is your friend, like an actual friend who you share things with and vice versa, I would mention it. Otherwise, I would seriously mind my own business, you do not know whether her parents are aware or know this boy and so on.

Spotsandstars · 13/05/2019 13:41

Age of consent is 16. So yeah I'd mention it to your neighbour in a casual way.

stucknoue · 13/05/2019 13:56

Unless he looks like a full grown adult man (over 18) I would not say anything, the parents may well know or suspect. We certainly knew what dd was up to however much she thought she was deceiving us, parents have a 6th sense!

Amortentia · 13/05/2019 14:04

MYOB.

This reminds me of when I was a teen and my very ‘observant’ neighbour came round to tell my mum I was sneaking a boy in to the house. We had lived there for about 2 years and some how this nosy Parker had completely failed to notice I had a brother 🤣.

stephstrops · 13/05/2019 14:06

I have a 15 year old daughter and i’d definitely want to know
