What do you call a teenage night out

So was talking to a friend the other day and she said her DD who's only like 3 months older than my year 10 DD has a night out every weekend. I never got to ask what she meant by that but what does it mean. When I think night out I think bar/club but obviously a 15 year old wouldn't be going to a nightclub as they don't have ID and borrowing one ain't gonna work in 99% of clubs.
By the way one thing I do know is that it's not a underage nightclub event or bowling since there isn't any of them for miles from my friends house (like close to 30 miles away is the nearest bowling alley I think).

Going round to a friends house to play FIFA and having a take away curry for 16 year olds here. Not exciting

Shopping mall and Nando’s/Costa seems to be the usual here.

Cinema, restaurant, evening at pals. Any of those things. Nothing too exciting or illicit.

IN DD's case, going out means meeting up with friends, either at someone's house (including the odd larger house party) or sometimes out for a meal somewhere or cinema. But i don't think she would refer to it as a night out (even a house party). Nor would she refer to it as a play date these days!

DS1 of a similar age goes out to the cinema or to the gym in the early evening & then Nando's - but not every week, way too expensive! If he does ask him to be home by 9.30ish.

In the summer he & his friends would go to the milkshake bar & then the park, in winter they hang out at each other’s houses & play computer games, eat pizza & watch films.

They would have zero interest in bowling & I’m guessing nightclubs would laugh them away at the door, plus again also no interest in them at the moment, thankfully!

The going out & hanging out at peoples houses still seems mostly boys & the same for the girls I know - the girls ‘friends at home’ evenings seem to involve putting make up on with a trowel & taking multiple duck face selfies from about three feet above their heads - which is a baffling pastime - I’m so glad I grew up in a different era, I feel so sad for them :(

My DD (16) goes to friend’s houses, out for meals, cinema. She’s going to her first gig soon too ( is over 16s).
Some party every weekend though - house parties and raves..
