Cool brands for older teen boys

Can I please ask what brands your older (15+) teen boys are wearing at the moment? I am looking for some inspiration for tops (T-shirts/hoodies) for DSS for Christmas. Youngest DS9 is mad for Hype, but I think the older one is over that now.....Smile

Hype

Superdry def a “dad brand” round here. DH has loads.

Amaaboutthis · 22/11/2018 22:33

Supreme is SO year 9 apparently

Adidas, champion, north face Ralph Lauren

Stressedoverkids · 22/11/2018 22:58

I think it really differs in different areas. Ds wears Hollister, Jack Wills and 11degrees.

DS17 wears scruffy crap from charity shops which he calls vintage because he's too tight to buy new clothes

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 22/11/2018 23:15

Don't buy Canada goose the fur is made of dogs!

It's so funny that they think superdry is a dad's brand but northface is ok - in my early 40's and northface has been cool since we were teenagers 🤣

Thanks again for the suggestions. It's not a main present so Canada Goose (even before I knew about the dog thing), Yeezy etc are definitely not on the cards. DSS has been known to steal DH's North Face jacket so that, Adidas, Champion etc could be the way forward.

Canterbury, Superdry, North Face and Rab are popular with DS and his sporty mates.

Petalflowers · 26/11/2018 16:40

Since when did North Face get popular?! I thought that was for serious hill walkers. And Lyle and Scott for golfers.

Supergluerules · 29/11/2018 13:38

I have DS 15 and 19, these are the brands they wear/ask for;
Carhartt, Dickies, Adidas, Nike, Fila, Palace, Champion, Magenta, We Are Brain Dead, All Timers, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, North Face, Kappa, Vans, Reebok, Napapijri, Off White, Stussy, Supreme, Polar SkateCo and Thrasher.

They get a lot of stuff from Depop which is secondhand, so way more affordable and better for the environment. I like the fact that some of the brands are also really hardwearing and useful - like fleeces and waterproofs Grin but they don't want brand new, it's all about the 'vintage' 90s!

Can anyone tell me if under armour is a cool brand for kids? (10/11) I think it’s cool but that might be because I’m old..... otherwise any recommendations for ‘cool’ sports brands welcome!! 🙏

Rosebud2005 · 15/04/2021 16:34

Me too! Grin

EwwSprouts · 18/04/2021 18:48

I don't know if Under Armour is cool for young teens but DS16 has a few bits that are deemed acceptable; skins for sport, sliders and we got him some trousers from there for golf.
