Daughters 14th birthday

My daughter is turning 14 in just over a month and she wants a party. She is very feminine so I don’t know what type of party to do for her, she also only has a few people she wants to invite. Any ideas of what to do? She doesn’t want the usual slumber party style so I’m stuck for ideas! Please help!Cake

at that age my DD did a 'dinner party' starter, main course pudding and cake. we dressed the table up with candles and they had fizzy wine (pretend stuff i think).
she did most of the cooking and they loved it. quite sweet when they all turned up in posh clothes.

Oh that sounds lovely, I’ll suggest that to her. Her favourite things are cooking, eating and talking so sounds perfect! Thank you Smile

I was going to suggest afternoon tea so also food related 😁

She would love that as well, she took me out for afternoon tea for my birthday to a lovely cafe! Thank you so much

I second the afternoon tea idea!

Do you think I could make it (grown up) princess style dinner/afternoon tea as she loves Disney princesses and her only dream is to go to Disneyland? Or am I just being an embarrassment to her?

A grown up princess afternoon tea sounds lovely! Some pretty cake stands, fancy cup cakes etc. Lots of ideas on Pinterest for that kind of thing too.

Thank you, I think she’ll love that! I’ll take a look at some ideas on Pinterest then see what she thinks Smile

Dd and her friend threw an afternoon tea at our house for a friend turning 14 last year. I have cake stands and tea cups etc. The coop so fizzy ‘wine’ in a champagne style bottle. They baked mini scones and made finger sandwiches laid it all out nice and decorated the dining room. It was a huge hit with the girl they did it for and they then moved on to the living room with snacks and played just dance on her brothers xbox and sis sing along a for the rest of the afternoon.

When my DD was 14 she had 7 girls for dinner and they played a Murder mystery game called death by chocolate (I think) and it was very successful
