Any shopping help Dd bikinis??

Hi so my DD is 13 almost 14 and the last 6 months her boobs have blossomed from crop tops to 34 b/c bras!
We are going away literally next weekend and took her shopping for swimwear a couple of weeks ago.
We had to do seperates as she is only a 6 on the bottom.
I found it so difficult with her to buy something that was supportive and covered with looking too old or babyish as she put it (plain colours mainly no patterns)
We did end up with two bikinis from H&M and a swimsuit from there.
She has just been away with grandparents and has come back stating she’s not wearing the swimsuit as no padding around boobs! (Great - now I can’t take it back Grr)
Is two bikinis enough for two weeks?? or has anyone any suggestions for where I can go as the two we bought were the only ones she liked that fitted in H&M
She can get really worked up about her appearance and does suffer anxiety so don’t want a meltdown on holiday

If she’s a size 6 then I doubt she’s a 34 bra - have you measured her? If the back is too loose then it won’t offer enough support.

DragonNoodleCake · 06/08/2018 22:53

I'm a size 16 and a 34 back, you defo need to have her measured properly.

Just been through this, DD goes away this week. She's a 6, and a 32D at 13!

We found some really nice ones in John Lewis in the sale. We've also ordered from ASOS where you can order the cupsize for the bra, and the bottoms separately.

DropZoneOne · 06/08/2018 23:08

What about the surfing bikinis from Decathlon? Or other sports shops, as the tops will offer a bit more coverage.

Springersrock · 06/08/2018 23:11

My DD is size 6, 32DD boobs, we got her a few from Matalan

You buy the tops and bottoms separately so can mix and match sizes a bit

GreenTulips · 06/08/2018 23:12

Buy duplicates from h and m

Two is enough for two weeks

Teaco had some that I brought for DD

Try boob or bust measuring system online it works

iknowimcoming · 07/08/2018 00:14

Definitely measure her properly (find the bra gurus on here for help) and then order from figleaves they have loads of trendy but proper cup sized bikinis

TakeAChanseyOnMe · 07/08/2018 00:24

ASOS? They do bra sizes and next day delivery.

Dontletthebastardsgrindyoudown · 07/08/2018 00:28

Was it Marks and Spencer who measured your daughter Op? They measure and then add 4inches extra (ridiculous practice Confused) so if she was 30 round the back they say she's a 34!

Try Boux Avenue.

She can wear a swimming costume. She would have to have football sized boobs before a size 6 costume became a problem.

LockedOutOfMN · 07/08/2018 00:48

Can you exchange the H and M tops that aren't padded for others that are? Most teens prefer a bit of padding as it stops the nipples being visible.

I would say 3 swimsuits (bikinis or one pieces) for a 2 week holiday - personally I would take 4 or 5 but 3 will suffice.

Most shops will let you buy separate tops and bottoms. Do you have a Calzedonia near you? Their bikinis are great.

namechangedtoday15 · 07/08/2018 10:43

Also agree with slight padding - DD is much more comfortable in that style (not least because she's a little lopsided at the moment and the padding disguises it). I know underwiring for bras is not recommended at this age but the underwired bikini tops look great and ok if it's only for a couple of weeks. She's also a fan of the 'big knicker' style.

Gorgeous range at debenhams

mummc2 · 07/08/2018 13:15

Thanks for responses she has a small waist and broad across the back from years of gymnastics, swim and football. I’ve never had her measured I know from years of it myself (was a 32gg) that most including M&S are rubbish!
I have bought her size 32 and she says they are too tight, so just stuck with what she finds comfortable.

There is some great suggestions on here I will go have a look 👀

My 28C DD has had a lot of success with a Decathlon bikini and sports bras. She's 13, too.

SillySallySingsSongs · 07/08/2018 14:29

Primark have a great choice of mix and match seperates.

Branleuse · 07/08/2018 14:52

unless she is literally shaped like an inverted triangle, then id be very surprised if a size 6 child had a 34 inch rib cage, as thats around a size 14
