Bikini for large busted teen

Dd aged 13 is a 30F on top and an 8 / 10 below. She is tall.

We are having a nightmare trying to find non frumpy bikinis which accommodate her boobs but are age appropriate/ non frumpy.

We have been through quite a lot with no success. Have one from ASOS and another from Freya on order.

Any suggestions for other places to try? (Her bras are Fantasie but she doesn’t like their swimwear).

Are you buying separates? Bravissimo?

TroubledLichen · 24/07/2018 17:31

Providing she doesn’t need a lot of support then look for mix and match style with a triangle top, even better if the cups move on the string and aren’t fixed. Just size up to something like a 14 for the cup size and she can tie it at the back to ensure it’s tight. Then buy the matching bikini bottoms in her usual size.

Have a look on Figleaves - their sale section is where all my bikinis have come from!

She wasn’t keen on Bravissimo- yes a bikini but happy to buy pieces separately as this is probably the only way to get top and bottoms which fit.

She’s v sad - her friends as still pretty flat chested and can buy all tge bikinis in New Look which dd loves but don’t fit her Sad

Brastop?

Twilight456 · 24/07/2018 17:35

I am 34f and 10 or 12 bottom and I find that surprisingly primark bikinis fit the best!! They have the proper cup sized tops and then bottoms sold separately. I bought a lovely tropical print white background one for a fiver this year. They wash well but do start to lose shape after one or two summers so are not great value, but at that price I don't mind.

I would suggest she looks in fashion shops and buys a bigger top than bottom. Halter neck styles often give good support despite not having wires. If it is a tie back then she can just tie it tighter. If it has a clip it is a very easy job to make the back smaller, you just need a needle and thread.

Bravissimo used to do a halterneck/ triangle style bikini in cup sizes which was lovely and non-frumpy but still supportive enough as long as you had reasonably perky boobs. I can't remember the brand though (perky has not been a suitable description for my boobs for a number of years!).

Curvykate

Debenhams do a range called beach collection which have proper bra sized tops in larger cup sizes.

Etymology23 · 24/07/2018 17:58

I used to wear tie-triangle ones, surprisingly fine as long as you size up enough to get enough coverage and tie it tight enough. Sometimes I would get the “push up” sort as they were more solid, so harder to fall out of.

Swimwear 365 - lots of choice, you can order a variety of styles and sizes to see what fits best.

Turned out to be rather expensive for me as my two DDS didn't want to send anything back!

Boux Avenue

I'm early 20's 28gg on top and 8 on the bottom and It's the only place I shop.

Not sure how to post link on my phone but I asked a similar question on Style and Beauty a couple of days ago. My dd has ordered from brastop
