He showers every morning at 7am and uses Mitchum roll on after the shower. When he arrives home from school at 5 he honks of BO. Really bad. I have to make him shower again as soon as he comes in because the smell takes over the whole room. I’ve told him to take his roll on and wipes to school with him and he says he uses them but I don’t think he does.

Is there a better anti perspirant/deodorant I can buy him?

Thanks all. So he should shower at night and use anti perspirant when skin is dry and not shower in the morning?

Ah I came on to recommend Nesti Danti Cypress Soap too Mavis. It's a lovely fresh, woody fragrance.

DS is 13 and doesn't smell too bad on his own but when he is in a group of mates they all stink! I actually said to one of his teachers that I didn't know how they coped with the smell of teenage boys - a heady mix of sweat, hormones and lynx .

I switched my son over to female dove roll on. It is white with a dark blue cap.
Works brilliantly no more whiffs and pongs.

A friend of mine works in an academy where they have wool blazers. She says the warm rainy days are the worst as the damp blazers add a heavy hint of wet sheep to the mix Envy (not envy)

If all else fails, could you try a different brand of antiperspirant? I've found one brand doesn't work for me any more, whereas a different one is fine.

Driclor is a very strong antiperspirant. You put it on at night. In the morning you wash it off and use a deodorant if you wish. Its expensive but it works. You can also use a super effective powder called Zeasorb. Using biological washing powder and a cup of white vinegar in your laundry final rinse is also very effective on stinky clothes.

Oh lordy Slightly. That is AWFUL! Thankfully they don't have to wear blazers at DS's school and the pupils are allowed to wear PE shorts when it's warm.

Are you sure it's not his feet ? My sister's feet were so stinky we had to leave the room when she came in.

Sure Maximum Protection is the best AP deodorant around. About £5 a bottle but it’s brilliant. Really strong stuff that actually stops the sweat smell. DH swears by it.

My daughter smelled truly rank at 12, and we had to use a multi pronged attack. I sniffed her pits before she got out of the shower and generally had to order that she re-wash with more soap and a scrubby mitt. Then, plenty of the sure cotton dry spray in the big can. The only anti-perspirant that stopped the stink for a few hours. I got so puzzled by her shirts coming out of a long wash still stinking that I even changed my Washing machine! I eventually Sussed that several sprays of vanish on the armpits of her tops before the wash was what was needed. She's 21 now and if she wears anything but cotton it needs the vanish treatment pre-wash. Teenagers stink!!!

It’s definitely not his feet. They don’t (yet) smell tbh.

Triple dry anti perspirant is the best I've found - it's not cheap at around £5 for a small can but often on offer in Boots. Much better than Mitchum (which I also use when I can't get my hands on TD).
