What does your teenage son use on his face/spots?

DS is 14 and has very pimply skin on his cheeks. I'm guessing it's a form of acne. Though he has had skin like this since he was small, it seems to be worse now. They aren't black heads or pus filled. But as teenagers do, he is becoming more conscious of his appearance. I've noticed he also gets the occasional spot in his hair line which are more like normal spots. Though his skin does not look like it is overly greasy as there is no visible shine to it.
So what does your teenage boy use on his skin? TIA

Mine had 3 months of anytibiotic and now uses Epiduo on prescription which has totally sorted out his skin

The tea tree oil cleanser from the Body Shop.

Over the last two years my son has suffered from spotty, sensitive skin - we have tried a lot of different lotions, soaps and visited the GP - most of what we tried caused redness and irritated his skin even more. In the end he decided to use only the most gentle products for his face, hair and shower. A cleanser for sensitive skin and a moisturiser. We stopped 'treating the spots' and decided to be kinder to his skin. His skin has improved as a result. Everyone is different and this worked for us.

My DD 13 had terrible skin a few months ago. In the end we went to the doctor and he prescribed duac. It really worked. Her skin now is great with the odd spot here and there . The routine now is cleanse morning and night with Simple Micellar water, Simple moisturiser in the morning. I also change her pillowcase every two days.

I would agree with trying a gentle cleanser, the Simple range is good or Cetaphil in the first instance.I think those with acne csn have very sensitive skin.Dd had spots and Cetaphil has been the only think to keep her skin balanced.

If on his cheeks does he use his phone to his face, as it can spread bacteria.

Duac is excellent when there is a breakout and worth having.

Drinking water will help his skin and also try vitamins.
