Headaches

My dd 12years old, suffers regularly from headaches. She hasn't yet started her periods but I wonder if it's hormonal? What natural remedy could anyone propose to ease the discomfort of her body transition? Can anyone think of any other causes?

When you say regular, how often is she getting them?

Reetabiscuiteater · 19/02/2018 20:29

My daughter has been suffering a lot lately too which I think is hormonal but I have taken her to the doc. We have also got her eyes tested and made sure she is drinking plenty to avoid dehydration. She does take paracetamol and we try to make sure she gets plenty of rest. She has started her period though.

Not sure if any of that was any help.

I'm not sure how often, it's variable but every two to four weeks maybe.

Reetabiscuiteater. It is a help because I think it is a good idea not to over dramatise. Healthy eating etc.

My daughter suffered from continual headaches so we used the blue patches Kool n Soothe which are non-medicinal www.superdrug.com/Kool-N-Soothe/Kool%27n%27Soothe-Migraine-Pain-Relief-Cool-Soft-Gel-Sheets-4s/p/937227?gclid=Cj0KCQiAiKrUBRD6ARIsADS2OLlIPwLXMGK7EV4_howa_AK0-Ac_oFYPTZfb7AwKVZnVhOOkPRpf_NQaAjJXEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJai95L4stkCFYa3Gwodp0cAwg

I also took her to see an osteopath who within seconds saw that her back and neck were distorted. 6 weeks of treatment and her headaches reduced to weekly.

Forehead works well too

#butterfly990. That is interesting - I hadn't thought of an osteopath. It's worth a try, thanks.

Have you taken her for an eye test? Could be eye strain.

We had an eye test last year when the headaches started, but it seems like she has good sight.
