What coats are your 14/15 year old girls wearing? Dd has outgrown her old one and needs something warm but comfortable and not too bulky.

Any ideas please?

Dd12 wears river island

Superdry sizes are tiny. When kids start wearing them they are a bit big on the body normally but like Mr. Tickle with the arms! Still they don't care they think they are cool wearing superdry

Hoolit · 28/11/2017 23:10

Mine is wearing a puffer jacket from hollister and she's notoriously fussy. It's quite thin but warm and covers her bum it's currently in the sale at £55 easy to carry around. It has a good but no fur.

Hoolit · 28/11/2017 23:11

A hood*

Childrenofthestones · 29/11/2017 12:09

My 14 year olds wearing a £50 quilted jacket with a fur hood from Tesco's
The number of girls at her School walking around with £800 + jackets on is utterly shocking.
I'm so proud of her she doesn't give a s*and thinks they are pathetic.

ZaZathecat · 29/11/2017 20:46

Dd 16 is happy with a Primark super light packable coat with hood - it's a longer version of the short jacket everyone and their dog is wearing.

TabbyTigger · 30/11/2017 22:30

DDs are 13 and 12 and both have quilted puffer jackets - DD12’s is black and from H&M (£20) and DD13’s is pale pink and from ASOS (£55).

It's funny how they must be in to different things from different areas but think there way is cool yet there's kids in another area wearing what they consider not cool, as cool 😂 my dd and her friends wouldn't be seen dead in superdry it's "not cool"

She has the Zara short padded one with fur on the hood and the topshop short padded one with fur on the hood...that both look pretty similar to me. But what do I know.

Frequency · 30/11/2017 22:40

It's a lot cheaper here and you can see it better.

fuckssake

I agree it's so wierd. Near me, better often goes hand in hand with expense during the teen years. So in primary school they'll shop in h&m, primark, then it'll progress to Zara, new look and River Island and then ultimately go to Superdry, Pink,JD and Hollister! Then they get over the cost thing and end up back in primark!!

I have to admit I don't know any kids under 13 who'd even fit in Superdry. I know it's small but it's not that small! I'm a size 12 and wear medium. Not sure many 10 year olds are size 8/10 ladies!

Migraleve · 01/12/2017 19:13

Butter. They don't fit into superdry. They wear it anyway.

Agustarella · 01/12/2017 19:22

Mine is 12 and she gets into the largest kids' size in Monsoon, 12-13 years. Should be fine for an older teen if slim and petite. I totally drew a blank in all the other shops!

Emilizz34 · 02/12/2017 11:18

H&M and New Look have some nice ones at present . Padded without being too bulky .

CedricDiggory · 06/12/2017 18:51

I am 14 and I have a really nice navy one from topshop. I would link it but it’s not loading. The fur on the hood is removable and the hood itself is removable. It’s really good and comes in 4 different colours

Dancergirl · 08/12/2017 11:54

Thank you cedric
