My 14 yr old daughter gets £5 a week. I pay for her mobile, most school clothes and 4 school lunches. So the £5 has to covers her everyday clothes and shoes, toiletries, transport, sweets and entertainment. But im starting to think that's not enough, so I was wondering what others gave there kids.

My dd is 17. She gets £30pm. I buy all clothes, mobile phone, toiletries etc, school lunches, etc.

If she goes out I give her extra money for that and I also pay bus fares and food if she is eating out.

She also works as a waitress and earns £20 pw.

My ds is 13. I give him £20pm and pay for everything else as above. His will go up to £30 when he is 15.

I do insist that dd works part time as it's important to have a work ethic. If she gave up her job, her pocket money would also stop.

My 12 year old DS gets £5 a fortnight ( I now feel incredibly stingey!!) paid into his osper card. He also has a £22 phone contract and clothes etc paid for by me.

I am thinking of upping his pocket money soon as he's starting to go out with friends more

My 14 yr old dd gets £10 a week paid onto her card.
And whatever cash she can scrounge off anyone else.

15yo DD gets £45 a month. Mobile paid for by us. If she's going out for the day or whatever, we'll chuck her a tenner or so.

14 yr old dd gets a £5 a week. We also pay for her phone, toiletries, clothes etc so her pocket money goes on extra bits of makeup and tat. Can't afford to give her anymore

DD gets £10 a week and extra in holidays for days out, we pay for most clothes and phone contract, I am going to put more rules on the £10 as if I let her it would all go on junk food and drinks which I think is a huge amount of money to waste. I'm trying to make it £5 for junk, drinks and snacks and the other £5 to save or use for something other than food, that is the plan anyway.

My dd gets £5pw,she does hoovering, dusting and putting clean dishes away(not perfectly and with reminders but also ATM without complaint).
I pay for her phone, essential clothes etc and she uses her savings for frivolous clothes and black nail varnish, atm.

She is only13 and is learning about Value for money and negotiating(or I will not buy her anything she asks ).When she starts socialising more we may renegotiate but we are both happy for now.

£5 per week, but it doesn't include clothes, toiletries or phone, or sports. They earn over and above that.

My DD is offered £10 a week pocket money provided she cleans and tidies her room once a week and gets to school on time. Since she does neither of those things she only gets £5. Does anyone else dock their kids' pocket money for failure to do chores, etc?
