DD under covers with her boyfriend

Recently came into DD (15 y/o) room to find her and her boyfriend under the duvet. I'm happy to let them upstairs together as long as the door is open but I'm not comfortable with this atall.

Does anyone else have a problem with this or am I being touchy?

Were they fully dressed? Were they cold? Did they fancy a cuddle?

If it was me, i would just keep making excuses to go upstairs. They are hardly going to have sex with the door open and people popping in and out ( well, I would hope not anyway forgetting the time my bf mum walked in on us having sex, aged 17 )

I wouldn't like this. My 15 year olds aren't allowed upstairs with boyfriends

I let my 15YO and her bf in her bedroom - it was allowed at his house anyway - but I did a lot of laundry deliveries, offered cups of tea, hovering upstairs etc.

Do you know what the arrangements are when she's at his home?

His parents are split so at his dads (where he stays 90% of the time) he shares a room with a brother so I understand that they don't get a lot of privacy outside of my house, which is why I was a little less strict with where they go at mine.

She tells me they were just talking but I still feel uncomfortable with it

His home situation sounds good from the point of view of not being more attractive to them than your home. If you were stricter than his parents they might end up spending much more time there, defeating the purpose of your rules.

I think you should talk to your DD and tell her your rules for your home as she's under 16. However, you must accept that she might not have the same values as you and if she feels you're judging her she will be unlikely to want to ask your advice or share with you.

How old is her bf?

AmyL1234 · 18/05/2016 16:40

He's 16 but only 7 months older than her.
