Princes Trust courses and child tax credits

Anyone know why Child Benefit and Child Tax Credits don't recognise the courses so you lose both benefits? My DD has been offered a 12 week course....

Can she register for Connections as well as being on the course so both benefits will be payable?

I don't know about child tax credits but child benefit should definitely continues through Prince's Trust. In fact, even if they're not on a course or in education at all, if they are registered with whatever your local NEET (not in education or training) provision is called (ours is 'employability and skills team') then you can keep claiming child benefit for twelve weeks.

I have 2 daughters, one in college and one starting on a Prince's Trust course, can I still get CTC, CB and WTC for the one starting the Prince's Trust course or is it not recognised as education, my husband is self employed and I'm a stay at home mum, any information or advice would be very appreciated
