I've just recieved a letter from my daughters school saying they're referring her for fast track prosecution-does any one know what this will mean?

I don't know that much about this but I found this link that might be some help

education.guardian.co.uk/schools/story/0,5500,807439,00.html

It would seem that you would be give a term to arrange attendence and if that doesn't work you might be liable for a variety of things.

What has she done? Did you know about it?

lou33 · 15/05/2004 15:12

Found this as well.

thanks lou33,I was aware that she was missing lots of school,I tried most of Friday to contact her Head of Year with no luck. She just doesn't want to go to school,it's not as if she can't manage the work, apparently she has the highest IQ in her year. I'm at my wits end,I've tried shouting, pleading, bribery, tears if anyone has any ideas please tell me.

Why is she not going? What is she doing instead? Is she aware that you can be prosecuted if she doesn't go?

charliecat · 15/05/2004 21:40

What age is she, and why is she not wanting to go to school, is she being bullied?

lou33 · 15/05/2004 22:44

Could she feel bored with the lessons if she has a v high IQ, or is trying not to show it?
