Can you get an idea of a teenagers car insurance bill -without entering all their data

M parents want to buy DD a car - she hasn't passed her test yet; so I'm wondering if there is a site where I can get a general idea of cost without an actual quote?

& if I can't is there any reason why I shouldn't enter her details as if she had already passed?

Just enter the details as if she has passed - just remember if you go back to a site at a later date that you make sure you change the date. I found prices varied enormously even for what I thought were basically the same engine size just different makes.

If you want an idea go on ebay pick the sort of cars you are likely to go for and put the reg numbers from the photos into the quote. We still do this now when daughter is looking at changing cars. DS will be starting lessons soon so back to square one!

I also put in a false date of birth to get a quote.

Best learner policy was with a specialist company, different company came out best for after passing. Found an annual policy better than the monthly renewables, as it allowed a named driver. Checked the refund terms gave a full pro-rata refund I when cancellation. Even with the £50 broker fee deducted on cancellation. 2 months on that policy still worked out cheaper.
When she passed, re-quoted with replacement company, quote had not changed fortunately. Still paid 2.5 times that of learner, even with a black box.
