dd age 14 went out to a friends this morning to watch a few dvd's, I thought she would be home for tea but there's no sign of her. Her phone is off. I know the street where friend lives but not the house, i'm worried sick how on earth do I find out where she is.

you can people's contact details on b4usearch.com

Whizzz · 31/10/2006 20:07

I would have thought if you knew the friends surname & the street where they live, you should be able to find a phone number. As others have said - she's prob just lost track of time. Hope she turns up soon

longwaytogo · 31/10/2006 20:08

ok i found her, she was logged on to msn which said i'm busy watching a film so sent her message and she replied.

Told her ti ring me now, and her response is 'oh my word' she says I told you we were watching loads of films.

I'm going to kill her

I think an agreed phone in time if she's been out all day - so she has to phone you at 8pm or whatever. And leaving a contact number (she might not like that one?!). I'd have been worried sick - glad all's OK.

DelGhoul · 31/10/2006 20:15

me too, I was hyperventilating and I don't even 'know' you.

winnie · 31/10/2006 20:17

glad she is ok longwaytogo

longwaytogo · 31/10/2006 20:27

She is worried now that her dad is going to go mad with her. Think she is shocked that I was so concerned. She didn't think there was band because of holidays.

OP posts:
winnie · 31/10/2006 21:25

Rather than going mad. As this is a first offence I would sit her down and talk to her about your fears and discuss with her what needs to be done (ground rules) so that there isn't a next time. Good luck

longwaytogo · 31/10/2006 21:41

I know, I know and she has put friends no's on my phone. Flipping kids i'm sure their designed to keep our stress levels at an all time high.

So pleased it worked out ok.

When something like this happens, in retrospect i am pleased. I just tell myself nothing bad happened this time and the lessons we have both learnt, may prevent something happening in the future iyswim.

I learnt the hard way that i should have numbers in my mobile not just at home.

Ho hum, i'm sure i've still got a lot to learn with teenagers!

Hope it is all good this morning for you.xxx
