i don't want to post to much about it
as last time i did post about bulling and name calling it got "nasty"
but can anyone give me any advice about this,
my concern is with bebo and the setting up of sites to bully people(kids)
they are called things like.
"the we all hate 2shoes club"

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 26/10/2006 21:41

awaiting a reply
just not sure what to do if they don't act

website hosts will do if the content is inflammatory.

Bumping for someone more knowledgeable o nthese matters.

I was at the PTA in the High School a few months ago - and this subject is causing great concern for the staff - MSN is being used to set pupls from opposing schools up for bullying.
Sadly other than greater parental vigilance,we did not come up with any better solutions.

My son was bullied on msn by another pupil at his school..I made sure he saved and printed out all the conversations..I contacted his school and spoke to his head of year she was very understanding and spoke to the boy concerned..It is a major problem and you have my sympathy

i think i am more angry than he is.
the club has 3 members lol. so not abig deal.
but I am concerned that another time they might target someone less able to cope. he can talk to me and dh and we support him. not all teens are able to do that. so really think places like bebo need to deal ith this kind of thing.

can he take a break from bebo - it's quite a new thing so i suppose people (arseholes) will take advantage of the nastier side to it.

A similar thing happened in a lower year at dd's school, and the two kids involved in the bullying were suspended. All students were told that this sort of behaviour constituted bullying in just the same way as physical or verbal, and all parents were asked to be aware of what their children were up to on their pc's.

There have been no problems since.

This has a good piece on cuberbullying and how to combat it.

The above is another good website to look at.

Cyberbullying has parallels with stalking.

they are friends now(arghh)
but I am still concerned about
bebo. They never replied to me or did anything. I know they are there as I reported a very bad message once and the boy was "deleted"(for using a VERY bad expresion)
