In the village hall. She'll be 14.
We have said we need a guest list.this is "not cool"
Will use her big brother and rugby playing friends as bouncers.
The thought of a hall full of 14yr olds terrifies me.
All tips welcome.

You will be fine. Assuming there is no alcohol, and I'm guessing it's a 'disco'?

Provide music, snacks, drinks and let them get on with it.

It'll be fine. However I'd want a guest list and to say strictly no alcohol - anyone bringing in alcohol or cigarettes - there parents will be allied and they will leave. No guest list, no party. Could so easily slip into friends of friends of friends who want to cause trouble.

My 15yr recently went to a BBQ party and the message was exactly that in the invitation text. Made me much happier about letting her go ( as obv we are now well into parties where I usually don't know the child or parents).

Also yup plenty of adults just being around big bro and mates are ideal. Just watch " snogging corners" a bit. Snogging not an issue but no opportunities for it to go further!

So glad dd2 has suggested a theme part day for her 16th!
